When it comes to supercars, few names command as much respect as the McLaren 720S. It’s a beast straight from the factory, boasting a twin-turbocharged V8 that delivers an exhilarating driving experience. But here at Xatrix, we believe there’s always room for more – more sound, more presence, and more excitement. That’s why we were thrilled to welcome our first supercar into the workshop for a serious upgrade: the Fabspeed McLaren 720S Supersport LT Style Exhaust System.
From the moment this 720S rolled into our garage, we knew it was going to be a special project. The car itself is a masterpiece of engineering, but like any enthusiast, we felt it needed an exhaust that could match its aggressive nature. The stock system had a decent tone, but let’s be honest – it lacked the raw, unfiltered roar that a car like this truly deserves.
Before getting started with the install, we recorded a before sound clip of the factory exhaust. It had a refined purr, but it just didn’t have that spine-tingling effect we were after. At Xatrix, we love loud cars, and we knew the Fabspeed exhaust was going to bring this 720S to life in a way that would turn heads wherever it went.
The Fabspeed Supersport LT Style Exhaust isn’t just an upgrade; it’s a statement. Precision-engineered to reduce weight while maximising performance, this system is crafted from high-quality stainless steel and designed to unleash the full fury of the McLaren’s twin-turbocharged powerplant. The design takes inspiration from the McLaren 765LT, featuring an aggressive, race-inspired look that complements the 720S perfectly.
Beyond aesthetics, this system dramatically improves exhaust flow, helping the engine breathe better and potentially unlocking additional horsepower. But let’s be real – the main event is the sound. And trust us, this system delivers.
Once we got the Fabspeed exhaust fitted, it was time for the moment of truth. We fired up the 720S, and the difference was instant. The deep, resonant tone was replaced with an explosive, high-pitched scream that echoed through the workshop. It’s the kind of sound that sends shivers down your spine and makes every acceleration an event.
