2024 BMW XM Label Red debuts as the most powerful BMW

Ever since BMW announced the launch of the 2024 BMW XM Label Red, we are more than excited to see how unique this car is and how it differs from the standard XM.

The first thing we noticed was when we heard the super-sporty SUV's name; Label Red rather than Red Label. How amazing that sounds? BMW is the first to adopt the colored-label naming system.

Perhaps more significantly, it is the most powerful production BMW M model. BMW stepped up the horsepower to 11 and added some red accents to the wheels and trims to distinguish XM Label Red from the standard XM.

This 4.4-liter V8 hybrid with dual turbochargers produces around a whopping 738 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque; amplifying around 94 horsepower and 148 pound-feet over the standard XM.

The XM Label Red still has the same all-electric peak speed of 87 mph and can fit the same 29.5 kWh battery (19.2 kWh usable), ideal for a range of around 30 miles.

The extra power helps the XM Label Red accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds as opposed to the 4.1 seconds on the base XM.

The overall top speed is however limited to 155 mph for German performance cars. We heard that by adding the MDriver's Package, it may increase the power to 175 mph.

Car enthusiasts may also choose to add performance parts to the XM Label Red to boost its power. There may not be any performance parts for the XM Label Red, however, we believe brands like Eventuri and Pure Turbo might have a plan to manufacture parts to make the car stand out even more in the industry!

Despite having brownie points, the XM Label Red regrettably isn’t any faster compared to any other high-performance SUV, like the Aston Martin DBX and Lamborghini Urus. What’s holding it back? Weight. The XM Label Red weighs 6,062 pounds, which is identical to the weight of the standard XM.

While BMW hasn't disclosed the pricing, we expect it to cost over £170,000. Production of the BMW XM Label Red begins in August at the BMW facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina and is estimated to be ready by the end of the year.

Now we are eagerly waiting to see the brand's mightiest M-badged model and when it does, we anticipate it to have increased power, fresh hues, and a somewhat revised look!
