The Lamborghini Urus SE plug-in hybrid is already one of the quickest SUVs you can buy – but for some owners, the factory exhaust note doesn’t quite live up to its 800bhp output. If you’ve found yourself wishing it had a bit more presence, Milltek Sport might have just the thing.
Its new performance exhaust system is a downpipe-back design, developed specifically for the Urus SE’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and 25.9kWh hybrid setup. It integrates cleanly with the factory valve control system, so you still get full access to all six drive modes – from Strada to Neve – but with a noticeably richer sound profile that evolves depending on which mode you’re in.
This setup isn’t about making the Urus shout for the sake of it. The revised centre section and rear silencer have been tuned to dial up the drama without losing the composure you expect from a modern Lamborghini.
As Milltek’s Technical Operations Manager, Kev Hall, explains:
“We wanted to give the Urus SE the voice it deserves – one that suits its performance credentials. Think of it as a factory finish, just with a bit more presence.”
The system is built from high-grade stainless steel at Milltek’s advanced R&D facility and is fully emissions-compliant for road use.
Milltek’s no stranger to the Urus platform. Jon Olsson – former world ski champion and automotive content creator – fitted one of their systems to his 1,019bhp wide-arch Urus and described the sound as “evil”, even compared to his famously aggressive Audi RS6.
This new setup aims for a more measured balance, working in harmony with the Urus SE’s hybrid drivetrain while reintroducing some of the character enthusiasts often miss in modern performance cars.
