The AIRTEC front mount intercooler is a great upgrade for any standard or re-mapped Audi S1. It prevents early heat soak and increases BHP, providing improved performance for your vehicle.

AIRTEC has released their Audi Sport S1 Front Mount Intercooler upgrade as part of their growing range of performance intercoolers. This upgrade addresses the size restrictions of the S1, which has a significantly smaller intercooler compared to the Golf GTI.

Road tests have shown that the standard intercooler in the S1 is prone to heat soaking, causing intake temperatures to rise to 69 degrees. This leads to the ECU pulling timing out of the map and a drop in BHP. However, with the AIRTEC intercooler upgrade, intake temperatures remain below 24 degrees, ensuring no loss in BHP. These tests were conducted on a standard S1 using Snap-on Ethos.

AIRTEC takes pride in delivering kits that are finished to an extremely high standard. You can choose between the Super Stealth satin black finish for a more OEM look or the Silver finish for maximum impact, allowing your S1 to stand out.
