This is AIRTEC Motorsport Front Mount Intercooler Upgrade for Audi TT RS (8J)
AIRTEC is proud to introduce the front mount intercooler upgrade for the Audi TT RS (8J). This free-flowing intercooler is designed to fit all models and is a direct replacement for the smaller and more restrictive OEM setup.
Featuring a huge 120mm core design and high-flow, cast end tanks, the AIRTEC intercooler offers greater surface area, efficiency, and volume compared to the standard intercooler. Despite these improvements, it fits neatly behind the original bumper and can be used with the original hoses.
Tested back-to-back on the dyno against the OEM intercooler, the AIRTEC intercooler showed a significant reduction in air charge temperatures. Here are the test results:
Standard Intercooler:
un 1: Into intercooler 117 degrees, Out of intercooler 69 degrees
un 2: Into intercooler 117 degrees, Out of intercooler 68 degrees
un 3: Into intercooler 119 degrees, Out of intercooler 78 degrees
AIRTEC Intercooler:
un 1: Into intercooler 116 degrees, Out of intercooler 36 degrees
un 2: Into intercooler 117 degrees, Out of intercooler 36 degrees
un 3: Into intercooler 118 degrees, Out of intercooler 37 degrees
The comprehensive fitting kit includes all the necessary fixtures and fittings, step-by-step instructions with pictures, and should take around 3-4 hours to complete. The intercooler is available in Pro-Series Black finish, with or without the AIRTEC logo.
