Have you ever removed your downpipe and realised your old gasket is broken or missing? This is where our range of pressed 304 stainless steel downpipe gaskets comes in.

Pressed from high-grade 304 stainless steel, they are incredibly strong and lightweight, making the perfect seal. Also, as they are pressed, they have a lip on the outer edges of the turbo exhaust housing to prevent the gasket from blowing out.

These gaskets are crucial in sealing the turbo exhaust flange and downpipe together, preventing gas from escaping and maintaining the engine's correct boost level.

Worn or damaged gaskets can lead to exhaust gas leaks, ultimately reducing engine power and potentially an MOT fail. To ensure an optimal seal with your new gasket, we recommend checking the flanges and, in the worst case, resurfacing when replacing a blown or distorted gasket.

This will ensure that there is no exhaust gas leakage and that the gasket seals for as long as possible.

Follow the steps below to get up and running quickly with your brand-new downpipe gasket. If you are unsure about any of the steps below or would rather a professional install the gasket, please contact them before you start working on it.

1. First, make sure the exhaust system, including the turbocharger and downpipe, is cool to the touch to reduce the risk of burns.
2. Next, remove the four bolts or nuts holding the downpipe to the turbocharger.
3. Slide out the old gasket and double-check that it is the same fitment as your brand new Exoracing 4-bolt gasket.
4. Check the downpipe flange and turbocharger exhaust flange for warping, if they are not completely flat, then take them to a machine shop to resurface them. If they are not completely flat, you risk blowing out the gasket.
5. When you are happy that the flanges are completely flat, and the gasket is the correct one, slide the old gasket in and start to tighten the nuts or bolts.
6. Tighten the nuts or bolts to the manufacturer's factory-recommended torque setting.
7. Run the car through a few heat cycles and retorque the nuts or bolts to ensure they have not come loose.
8. Providng you have no exhaust leaks you are good to go, and all finished!
