The Exoracing 5-bolt turbo downpipe gaskets are a reliable, high-quality solution for ensuring a secure and robust seal. These gaskets are constructed from two perforated metal sheets enclosing a carbon layer to withstand high temperatures and pressures.

Their primary use is in automotive applications, where they seal two flanges together, such as the turbo to the downpipe, preventing exhaust leaks.

It is crucial to note that worn, split, or damaged gaskets can lead to exhaust gas leaks, significantly decreasing engine power. Therefore, in case of damage or distortion, replacing the gasket and resurfacing both mating flanges is recommended to ensure optimal sealing with the new gasket.

Follow our step-by-step instructions below to install the 5-bolt downpipe gasket as quickly as possible. If you are unsure of any of the steps, please get in touch with a professional to install them, as exhaust leaks can be incredibly dangerous.

1. First, please ensure the turbocharger and downpipe are cold to the touch to reduce the risk of injury.
2. Remove anything in the way of the downpipe bolts, such as lambda sensors, etc.
3. Remove the five nuts or bolts holding the turbocharger to the downpipe.
4. Remove the old gasket and double-check it against the new gasket to ensure perfect fitment.
5. Check the turbo and downpipe flange to make sure they are perfectly flat. If you miss this step, the gasket is more likely to blow out if the flanges are warped.
6. Install the new gasket instead of the old one, tighten up the five nuts or bolts you removed, torque to the factory specification, and install everything else you have removed.
7. Start the engine and check for exhaust leaks. If there are no leaks, run the car through 3-4 heat cycles before retorquing the downpipe bolts.
