From their entry into the motorcycle market in 1955 Yamaha have grown to be one of the big four motorcycle manufacturers in Japan. During the 70's they won the first of many 500cc world championships and have maintained that success through to the modern era of Moto GP. During the 80's Yamaha introduced the EXUP, a new exhaust system for 4-stroke engines that included a power valve which optimized the width of an engines powerband. The first of their YZF models the R1 was released in 1998 and shortly followed by the R6 in 1999 and since then they have gone from strength to strength especially with the introduction of their MT range in recent years. Scorpion have a long history of producing performance exhausts for numerous Yamaha models over the years and have supported many teams in top flight racing.

Our leading technicians have developed through rigorous trial and testing a full system for the XSR 700. Using dynamometer development combined with track to road technology Scorpion exhausts are cutting-edge performance products. Our branding is a hallmark for precision engineered exhausts, fabricated using premium high thermal tolerance T304 aerospace grade stainless steel tube that will endure through the harshest of conditions. We shape our pipework using CNC Mandrel bent large bore design which permits maximum performance by allowing a greater flow of exhaust gas.

Installation of this Scorpion system requires no changes to the bikes standard settings nor a remap. The OE system doesn't require cutting for installation and as a result allows for straightforward installation when using our official Scorpion fitting guides. Riders will be able to indulge in a more tantalising tone with a much deeper sportier acoustic range that will epitomize the enduring quality of this product throughout its lifetime of service.

The full system was developed with de-cat pipework which removes the bulky OE catalyst resulting in unobstructed gas-flow. This is perfectly engineered for those riders pushing the boundaries of exhaust performance. (For closed circuit use only.) Our high-flow CNC mandrel bent headers eliminate back pressure when your bike's engine pushes out exhaust gasses, increasing your motorcycle's overall performance.

Scorpion exhausts provide a sharper throttle response and an increase in bhp. These improvements can be chalked down to our manufacturing process, high-flow silencer and healthy dose of weight reduction. The silencer is not only one the most technically intricate components of the exhaust system but one of the most visually eye-catching. For this reason, we offer a selection of silencer styles and finishes depending on motorcycle model and manufacturer. The XSR 700 can be fitted with the Serket Taper or Red Power style of silencer, our Serket Taper silencer can be finished in either carbon-fibre or stainless steel and the Red Power silencer is offered in brushed stainless or black ceramic.
