BMW really came to be recognised as producers of performance saloons after the formation of their famous M Division in the 1970's and a real game changer for them was the launch of the E30 M3 in 1986 which went on to gain numerous championship victories in touring car racing. One of the first exhausts Scorpion developed was their own performance exhaust for the E30 M3 and at the same time Scorpion introduced the legendary DTM tailpipe to the UK market. Ever since Scorpion has been at the forefront of producing performance exhausts for BMW's M cars and numerous others.
Available for the application is a T304 stainless steel 70mm high flow GPF back exhaust half system with valve plate for OE valves. The system has been developed with a high flow profile and an acoustic rear silencer to eliminate drone.
Once installed to the BMW the new free flowing GPF-back half system improves the vehicles power and sharpens up throttle response as well as reduce the overall weight. One of the stand out features of the new system is the deep, throaty soundtrack which crackles and pops when warm in sport mode. It also holds a deep and sporty soundtrack in normal mode without being intrusive for daily driving.
The lighter than OE system can be selected with 114mm polished Daytona or our premium quality Carbon Ascari tailpipes.
To allow for further tuning we have released a 70mm/2.75" non-resonated GPF Delete option. Featuring T304 Stainless steel the CNC Mandrel bent option is designed for drivers wanting to take performance to the next level. The de restrictive design allows for a greater exhaust gas flow to not only allow for higher performance, but for a deeper sportier tone to be produce from the exhaust.
The GPF delete is fully interchangeable with either the O.E system or one of the performance exhaust options offered by us.
