Shell Helix HX7 ECT 5W-40 synthetic technology formulation uses Shell emissions-compatible technology (ECT) to help petrol engine exhaust catalysts and keep diesel particulate filters clean so protecting from ash build-up that can block the exhaust system and lead to reduced engine performance. It contains Active Cleansing technology that helps seek out and disperse contaminants helping to stop deposits from forming to keep engines clean and reduce power- and efficiency-robbing deposits
