Spool Performance is really excited to introduce our latest product offering to the Mercedes M177 community, the FX-150 high-pressure fuel pump upgrade. We have been testing this for almost a year now and here it is finally!!

What is the FX-150?

The FX-150 is an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump. The pump features a bigger bore size than stock that translates into roughly 50% more flow when compared to stock. The pump is completely E85 compatible and fully plug and play with no cutting or splicing of any kind required. The added flow will let you run much higher ethanol concentrations and also allow fueling for bigger turbos.

Why do you need it

The stock HPFP on the M177 Motors is severely limited in capacity when trying to tune and raise the output of the motor. The FX-150 adds 50% more flow to the equation, raising the fueling limits on the platform and helping you run bigger turbos and/or higher ethanol concentration blends.

Spool 10-micron filter unit

Our 10-micron filter unit boasts the best filtration available on the M177 market without any noticeable pressure drop in the low side fuel system. The filter unit helps keep the high-pressure pump and injectors safe by protecting them against debris and is highly recommended.

Spool Ethanol Content Monitor

The spool ECA kit for the M177 features a digital readout of in-tank ethanol content and fuel temperature. It includes our SPOOL Ethanol content analyzer app on mobile and readouts are delivered via BLE 4.0 low energy technology. BLE4.0 allows you to use your regular Bluetooth devices on your mobile devices while being connected to the SPOOL ECA module. The ECA module also has a 0-5V filtered output for flex-fuel implementation on the M177 platform if needed. Fuel lines used in the kit are braided steel nylon core fuel lines that are 100% E85 compatible.

Are tune changes required?

The upgraded pumps do require calibration changes. Spool performance can provide calibration details to your existing tuner and/or help you connect with established tuners who are experienced with these pumps.
