While the Audi R8 already sounds incredible, VR Performance enhances the sound of the V10 with the titanium Valvetronic exhaust system. The 3-inch (76mm) piping diameter opens up the exhaust to eliminate backpressure and offer the most efficient amount of flow. With the valves closed, the sound is slightly louder than factory, but when the valves are open, the muffler is bypassed and allows the V10 to breathe.
Precision fitment was achieved with 3D scanning and CAD modeling to ensure no modification is required upon installation. The control module, remotes, and wiring necessary for the Valvetronic system are provided and very simple to install. The VR Performance exhaust incorporates the factory exhaust cutouts in the rear bumper. An elegant burnt finish gives this exhaust a unique and exotic appearance.
