VTT Ford Mustang EcoBoost Upgraded Wastegate Actuator

Improve wastegate control on a supported Mustang EcoBoost turbocharger with a direct-fit actuator designed to maintain more consistent tension as exhaust backpressure rises.

Direct-Fit Installation

The actuator bolts to the supported factory-location turbocharger without modifying the vehicle or turbocharger. It is supplied at VTT’s recommended starting preload. Remove the original retaining clip and actuator fasteners, transfer the connection carefully, and verify free wastegate movement before operation.

Calibration Required

A tune revision or calibration review is strongly recommended. Increased actuator pressure can change boost response and may trigger an overboost fault or exceed the safe operating range of the engine and turbocharger if the calibration is not adjusted.

Important Safety Note

Any modification that changes boost control must be used carefully. Confirm the mechanical preload, commanded boost, fuel quality, air-fuel ratio, ignition timing, and turbocharger speed with a qualified tuner.

Competition Use Only

These parts are legal for use only in competition racing vehicles as defined under California law and are not legal for use in any other motor vehicle. California law defines a racing vehicle as a competition vehicle not used on public highways (California Health & Safety Code 39048). Competition-only vehicles must be operated exclusively on a closed course in conjunction with a sanctioned racing event and transported to the event by trailer or other carrier. Use in any other vehicle may violate federal and/or state law, void the VTT warranty, and void the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty. The purchaser is responsible for compliance with all applicable laws.
